EMCID Convention Center

A walkable Town Center will create a synergistic relationship with adjacent hotels, restaurants, and retail, creating an attractive destination for events, training, exhibition, art, and community activities.

The design for the new Convention Center will include a 50,000-60,000 SF exhibit/banquet hall, breakout meeting rooms, and pre-function areas, as well as back of house facilities, and an 810-spaces parking structure. The site will be designed to provide retail, dining, and entertainment needs for the residents and business community.

A large part of this project’s focus is to help attract major corporate relocations, employers that will bring high paying jobs to the area. The idea is to create the critical pieces that will make the area a destination for many, but more importantly, a place where locals can work, shop, and play. Over the next 30 years, this project expects to generate nearly $1.73 billion in net new spending within the boundaries of the district, $775 million in net new earnings, and more than 500 direct and indirect full-time jobs generating about $35.1 million in sales, hotel, and venue taxes to the district and in turn, stabilizing the community
