Central Florida Behavioral Hospital

This two-story building addition added 48 Adult Acute Psychiatric beds to the 126 existing beds, bringing their total licensed bed count to 174. An additional 87 parking spaces and site utilities was added to support additional staff and visitors. This addition was configured to create secured green spaces for patient activities. Half of the rooms on each floor are oversized to accommodate the accessibility needs of mature adults. It was designed to meet code requirements for building hardening and disaster preparedness. The facility is above the 100-year flood plain plus 2 feet and hurricane stage III surge level (per FBC 419).
