Juniata College Halbritter Center for the Performing Arts
The new, Halbritter Center for the Performing Arts provides a venue for live performances, state-of-the-art classrooms and teaching spaces. Suzanne von Liebig Theater features three-stories with 200-configurable seats and a cutting-edge, fee-form space for “in the round” dramatic productions. Catwalks hold computer-controlled lighting and sound systems, areas for lighting design and space for performances or storage. Redesign/renovation to Rosenberger Auditorium, a 900-seat with traditional proscenium stage. It connects to the Halbritter Center through the existing Oller Hall. New climate-controlled heating and air conditioning system runs through the entire theater complex enabling year-round use/performances. Overall improvements and additions include new patrons’ lobby with supporting restroom and concessions facilities, a scene/costume shop, instrument storage areas, actors’ studio, make-up and dressing areas, movement and dance studio and faculty offices.
