Banner Gateway Medical Center

Banner Health is breaking new ground in excellent patient care with the state-of-the-art medical center in Gilbert, Arizona. The medical center, combined with Banner's existing medical centers, creates a comprehensive network of health care services for East Valley residents.

The medical center focuses on:Obstetrics, Pediatrics, General Surgery, and Emergency Services. Seven operating suites were included in the first phase of development, along wtih a 30-bed Emergency Department. The 60-acre campus has been designed with room to grow and will have the capacity to add two additonal patient towers and coordinating support services. The campus will feature family-friendly visitor areas both indoors and out as well as large private rooms with living space for visiting families, room service and internet access. From computerized medication orders to reduce pharmaceutical errors to sepcial lighting levels and electrical outlets at waist-height to prevent employee injuries, many steps have been taken to design an environment that supports patient and staff safety.

Phoenix-based Banner Health is one of the largest, non-profit health care systems in the country. The system owns or manages 19 acute-care hospitals, six long term care centers and an array of other services, including family clinics, home care services, a nursing registry and home medical equipment services in seven states.
