North Valley Plastic Surgery

North Valley Plastic Surgery

Phoenix, AZ

The surgeons at North Valley Plastic Surgery specialize in cosmetic surgery, offering the latest techniques in Breast, Body, and Facial procedures, including post-bariatric surgery needs. They also offer a full range of surgical cosmetic enhancements and skin treatments for both men and women.

North Valley Plastic Surgery sought to meet their objective of “mental and physical wellness” through interior architecture and design within a spa-like environment. The office set out to meet the expectations of its trend-setting clients by providing access to education and information regarding surgical and non-surgical procedures and treatments in space that would promote self-esteem and wholeness. SCOPE Architectural Design, Interior Design, Lighting Design, Signage Design, Furniture Specification, Artwork Selection & Plantscaping.

North Valley Plastic Surgery is a 7,000 SF, $1.2 million dollar suite in Phoenix. It is designed as a spa-like environment, capturing the latest trend in boutique healthcare experiences. Natural materials in a neutral palette create a sophisticated, upscale environment that is attractive to their trend-setting clients.

The design team used North Valley’s mission to create a space that would make the client feel like a special guest instead of a patient – as if they have entered into a 5-star boutique hotel lobby. The interior design addresses each of the five senses to comfort and encourage existing and potential clients. Every detail was carefully planned and executed with the patient’s comfort in mind. Concrete tiles, Venetian plaster walls, rich espresso wood and a ‘blue sky’ faux finished ceiling are illuminated by full-spectrum decorative lighting. Customized niches were designed with back-lit, translucent acrylic shelves for product display. Restrooms consist of tumbled travertine tiles, glass bowl sinks and concrete countertops. A water fountain in the lobby and Pre-Op provide sounds of trickling water to relax and comfort patients. Customized headwalls allow access to gases and equipment, yet look and feel like a hotel headboard. Patients are offered a plush robe during their examinations and recovery bed linens are covered with soft comforters, while various levels of lighting are provided, depending on the needs of the patient. A sound system was incorporated to filter the soothing sounds of music to key areas throughout the suite. Another key ingredient was the focus on education and research for prospective and current patients. The lobby and waiting areas offer plasma screen TVs and lounge seating equipped with laptop computers for on-site research. A private Education Room provides a confidential, informative atmosphere where the patient can view before and after photos, research prospective treatments or even watch a treatment or surgery being performed.
