Phoenix Business Journal: Reindeer Games Take Off

Reindeer games take off

Holiday cards sent to the Phoenix Business Journal's real estate desk this year mostly were conventional, though lovely to look at and later place in the recycle bin. Then there was the "design-a-deer" stencil from Valley architects Orcutt/Winslow.

Now this could come in handy all year long when a creative mood strikes. Included with the deer outline are various stencil accessories, including a 1970s disco "fro" haircut, a hard hat, conventional glasses, shades, mustache, scarf and Santa hat.

To get recipients in the mood, Orcutt/Winslow showed some of its own incarnations for Bright Idea Deer, aka The Architect, and Ice D, aka the Smoothest Reindeer of All. Submitted deer designs were eligible to win an iPod. About 40 drawings are posted on the company's Web site for your viewing pleasure.

We're still waiting for the Red Nose Alert as to who captured best of show.
